JOB TITLE:  Dock Manager

DEPARTMENT:  Port Authority

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Dock Manager assists the Harbormaster with day-to-day operations and various projects related to managing port facilities. This includes coordinating regular inspections and maintenance of all fishing docks and related infrastructure under the jurisdiction of the Port Authority.  Responsibilities include managing usage of the facilities, enforcing rules & regulations, and promoting environmental stewardship. This position is supervised by the Harbormaster.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years’ experience in a related field
  • Current and valid Washington State Driver’s License, or ability to obtain one within a year of hiring
  • High School Diploma
  • Current OSHA Forklift Certification, or ability to obtain one within a year of hiring

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience with maintenance of infrastructure in a marine environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to complete projects within specified timeframes
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in established effective working relationships with diverse groups and individuals
  • Willingness to attend training and acquire new skills
