The strength of the Swinomish Tribe is founded on healthy families. Accordingly, the Tribe provides the following services to victims, perpetrators, and families experiencing domestic violence or sexual assault.

Emergency Assistance Fund

For Native adult victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking who need emergency housing, hotel, food, or bill assistance to escape abuse.

Victim Advocate Services

For Native victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking who would like to receive crime victim services. Services include: safety planning, protection orders, education and outreach, information about legal proceedings and court processes, and general information about community resources.

Batterers' Treatment

For perpetrators of domestic violence who are court-ordered to attend domestic violence treatment. This state-certified treatment program satisfies most probation DV treatment requirements. For Natives and non-Natives with specific ties to the Swinomish community.

Youth Prevention Classes

For Native elementary, middle, and high school students who would like to participate in age-appropriate classes that foster domestic violence/dating violence prevention. Classes are taught in a fun, activities-based setting at the Swinomish Gym. Students learn social skills such as empathy, emotional management, problem solving, and cooperation.
